Welcome to Our Home Journey
What started as a simple blog to document our family’s first major home renovation has grown into something much more meaningful. When we bought our 1980s fixer-upper in 2019, we had no idea the journey we were embarking on or how many lessons we would learn along the way.
Our Home Journey was born out of necessity. We needed a way to track our projects, document what worked and what did not, and remember the contractors and service providers who made our house feel like home. Along the way, friends and neighbors started asking for recommendations, and we realized our experiences could help others facing similar decisions.
Our Journey Timeline
2019 – The Beginning
Purchased our first home, a charming but dated property that needed extensive updates. Started documenting everything from day one, not knowing it would become a valuable resource for others.
2020 – Finding Quality Contractors
Through trial and error, we discovered the importance of working with skilled professionals. Some projects we tackled ourselves; others required expertise we simply did not have. Learning to identify quality workmanship became essential.
2021 – Bathroom Renovations
