Welcome to our project portfolio. My wife and I started Our Home Journey back in 2019 when we bought our first fixer-upper. Since then, we have documented every major project we have tackled, from bathroom renovations to vehicle maintenance. Featured Project: Master Bathroom Renovation
Our master bathroom renovation was the biggest project we have undertaken so far. The original 1990s bathroom had a dated shower enclosure with foggy, scratched glass panels that had seen better days. After months of planning, we decided to completely transform the space.
The new frameless glass enclosure completely changed the feel of the room. The shower space feels twice as large now, and the clean lines give it that modern spa aesthetic we were hoping for. This project taught us how important it is to work with experienced glass professionals who understand proper installation techniques.
Our Project Timeline
Spring 2024 – Windshield Replacement
A rock on the highway left us with a crack that spread across our entire windshield within a week. We learned the hard way that windshield damage needs to be addressed quickly before it becomes a safety issue. The replacement process was smoother than expected, and the technicians explained every step along the way.
Winter 2023 – Guest Bathroom Shower Update
After the success of our master bath renovation, we decided to update the guest bathroom as well. We went with a sliding glass door this time instead of a hinged door to save space. The difference in how the room feels and functions has been remarkable. Our guests always comment on how nice the bathroom turned out.
Fall 2022 – Auto Glass Repair Learning Experience
This was when we first started paying attention to glass quality and proper installation. A small chip in our car window taught us about the difference between repair and replacement, and when each option makes sense. It was an eye-opening experience that changed how we approach all glass-related projects in our home and vehicles.
